Lafayette Square Appoints Maria Zubov as Managing Director of Portfolio Management

New York, April 28, 2021 – Lafayette Square, an impact-driven, minority-owned investment platform, announced today that Maria Zubov has been appointed Managing Director on the firm’s portfolio management team. Ms. Zubov, who joins from Natixis, reports to Chief Risk Officer Phil Daniele and is responsible for monitoring and evaluating risk across the firm’s credit portfolio.

Maria has over twenty years of experience across credit risk management, portfolio management, and equity research roles. Before joining Lafayette Square, she was an Executive Director within Natixis’ credit risk management department, focused on the energy and infrastructure industries. Before her time at Natixis, Ms. Zubov was a Director at Credit Suisse, where she spent eleven years in the CRM and portfolio management departments, focusing on origination and maintenance of a corporate portfolio of high yield and investment-grade counterparties. She began her career at the American Stock Exchange in 1997.

Ms. Zubov holds an MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a B.S. from SUNY Binghamton. She also holds Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 securities licenses and is a CFA Charterholder.
